TRAINEE ACCOUNTANT

Clement Rabjohns are looking for an enthusiastic, ambitious and highly organised individual to join the team as a Trainee Accountant.

This represents an opportunity to forge a career in Accountancy with the successful applicant commencing an Accountancy Apprenticeship and, upon successful completion, the possibility of a further study opportunity to become a fully qualified Chartered or Certified Accountant.

Clement Rabjohns provides a full range of accounting, audit and business advisory services to Individuals, Partnerships and Limited Companies. ​

We provide full study support together with practical experience and a competitive salary.

As a trainee for the firm your responsibilities include:

  • Client Bookkeeping - Keeping cashbooks up to date and carrying out monthly bank reconciliations
  • Client Payroll – assisting our Payroll Department in the provision of these services
  • Preparing Year End Accounts for Sole Traders, Partnerships and Limited Companies
  • Processing Tax computations whilst liaising with HMRC
  • Assisting with the preparation of Management Accounts
  • Office Administration - assisting the team in the general administration of the office as required

We expect applicants to have the following:

  • 2+ good A-Levels or equivalent
  • Level 5/Grade C or higher in Maths and English GCSE
  • A good working knowledge of Excel
  • Able to communicate clearly, confidently and professionally with staff and clients
  • A high degree of accuracy and attention to detail whilst working to strict deadlines
  • An ability to work as part of a team
  • An ability to be proactive and prioritise a changing workload
  • Eager to learn and undertake responsibility for tasks and processes
  • A clean driving licence would be an advantage

ACCOUNTS SENIOR

We are seeking a focused and keen qualified Accountant to join our vibrant team in Evesham.

This role is ideal for a recently qualified ACA/ACCA accountant with experience of working in an accountancy firm and who would like to move into a fast-paced and friendly environment.

Clement Rabjohns is a highly respected, established accountancy firm which provides a full range of accounting, audit and business advisory services to a varied and interesting client base.

As an Accounts Senior your main responsibilities will include:

  • Accounts preparation for Limited Companies, Sole Traders, Partnerships, LLPs and Charities.
  • Managing and overseeing Bookkeeping and VAT Returns
  • Tax computations both personal and corporate
  • Liaising with HMRC
  • Arranging client meetings
  • Assisting Senior Manager and Directors
  • Assisting with the management of client files
  • Assisting with audit assignments

Good working knowledge of Microsoft Office products and accounting software products together with high standards of written and spoken communication are required.

For the purpose of the Data Protection Legislation and this notice, we are the ‘data controller’. This means that we are responsible for deciding how we hold and use personal data about you. We are required under the Data Protection Legislation to notify you of the information contained in this privacy notice.
 
We do not have a Data Protection Officer. Our practice manager is our Data Protection Point of Contact and is responsible for assisting with enquiries in relation to this privacy notice or our treatment of your personal data.   • you, your employer and/or our clients engages us to provide our services and also during the provision of those services;

5. HOW WE USE PERSONAL DATA WE HOLD ABOUT YOU
We may process your personal data for purposes necessary for the performance of our contract with you, your employer and/or our clients and to comply with our legal obligations.

We may process your personal data for certain additional purposes with your consent, and in these limited circumstances where your consent is required for the processing of your personal data then you have the right to withdraw your consent to processing for such specific purposes.

  • notify you about any changes to our services.
In some circumstances we may anonymise or pseudonymise the personal data so that it can no longer be associated with you, in which case we may use it without further notice to you.
 
If you refuse to provide us with certain information when requested, we may not be able to perform the contract we have entered into with you. Alternatively, we may be unable to comply with our legal or regulatory obligations.
 
We may also process your personal data without your knowledge or consent, in accordance with this notice, where we are legally required or permitted to do so.
 
Data retention
We will only retain your personal data for as long as is necessary to fulfil the purposes for which it is collected.

What about other third parties?

7. TRANSFERRING PERSONAL DATA OUTSIDE THE EUROPEAN ECONOMIC AREA (EEA)
Clement Rabjohns Ltd is located in the UK.
 
Where possible, we or our appointed data processors process your data within the EEA.  If it is necessary for your data to be transferred outside the EEA, we ensure that appropriate safeguards are in place to ensure your data is properly looked after.
 
8. DATA SECURITY
We have put in place commercially reasonable and appropriate security measures to prevent your personal data from being accidentally lost, used or accessed in an unauthorised way, altered or disclosed. In addition, we limit access to your personal data to those employees, agents, contractors and other third parties who have a business need to know. They will only process your personal data on our instructions and they are subject to a duty of confidentiality.
 
We have put in place procedures to deal with any suspected data security breach and will notify you and any applicable regulator of a suspected breach where we are legally required to do so.
 
9. RIGHTS OF ACCESS, CORRECTION, ERASURE, AND RESTRICTION

Your rights in connection with personal data

  • Request correction of the personal data that we hold about you.
